Greek yogurt is a great ingredient to include in your healthy diet. First of all it makes you feel full because it’s high in protein, but its best cooking asset is its smooth, creamy texture. In addition to being low in fat, it contains calcium, a nutrient essential to good bone health. If you’ve never cooked with it, you’ll be surprised at how easily it can be incorporated into your favourite recipes. You’ll also enjoy the pleasure of discovering all the many ways it can be savoured in starters, main dishes, and desserts. I dare you to find a food that’s as versatile as Greek yogurt!

Starters, snacks, and hors d’oeuvres

Greek yogurt can easily be incorporated into hot or cold soup to give it a creamy texture or used to make sweet or salty dip served with fruits or vegetables. You can also add it to legume or tofu spreads for extra consistency and creaminess.

Main dishes

Prepare chicken, fish or pork chops marinades with Greek yogurt. Add it to beef Stroganoff recipes or use it to make delicious creamy dressing for side salads.

Desserts

Top fresh fruit with Greek yogurt and a dash of maple syrup to create a nutritious, mouthwatering dessert. Use it to replace whipped cream on angel food cake or with your favourite berries. Make scrumptious ice pops with Greek yogurt and fruit or add a touch of yogurt to dessert crepes.

As you can see, the options for using Greek yogurt in your recipes are endless. All it takes is a little creativity to concoct dishes that are both nutritious and delicious!
