A few weeks ago, I went to a movie premiere. I really like premieres, but I’m not really sure why exactly. Every time I’m invited, I scour my closet for the perfect outfit and every time I end up buying a new dress.
It’s an expensive outing.
I do my homework by watching the director’s previous work, looking for any difficulties experienced on set, familiarizing myself with the cast. Long story short, I make sure I have something to say.
It takes time and energy.
After the movie, there’s a cocktail gathering, during which we’re given a few measly hors-d’oeuvres and a lot of bad wine.
My taste buds are not impressed.
We discuss the movie we just watched, albeit too quickly for my liking.
It’s a bit complicated.
So, last week, when I got home, completely empty, my stomach growling and ears ringing, I felt a sudden urge for yogurt with strawberries and cardamom. All sprawled out on the couch, I asked myself why such a random craving.
The answer was obvious: not expensive, requires no energy, tasty and simple.
To prepare
- Mix the strawberry yogurt thoroughly (the fruit is in the bottom!).
- Open the green cardamom pods, place the seeds in a mortar and grind to a powder with a pestle.
- Sprinkle the cardamom powder on the yogurt and enjoy.
